Calculating the Slope

The slopes of the lines connecting these points are as follows:

  1. The slope of the line connecting the points (0, 3) and (8, 5) is 1/4, or .25.

  1.  The slope of the straight line on the graph is 1/3 or .33.
 
  1.  In the figure, the line that has the slope with the largest value is line A
    The line with the slope with the smallest value is line C
