How do you learn the material in your classes? You can articulate how you study by describing specific actions; you might reread, or say the information aloud, or create flash cards. But, why do you use the study habits that you use? And more importantly, how do you learn? What are the conditions that increase your learning? You will learn the answer to many of these questions through the process of applying learning strategies and personalizing them within the courses you are currently taking. If you understand how you learn, studying in college becomes so much more effective and efficient. In this session, you can learn more about your learning preferences, examine your current work and study skills, analyzing your motivation and attitude towards learning, and figure out ways to audit your own study habits and routines so that you can utilize your time and skills more efficiently.
