The importance of taking notes during a lass or from a text cannot be overemphasized. There are many reasons why it is important to take notes; first it is a way to help you learn the information; therefore, you are studying at the same time you are taking notes. 
In addition, note taking helps you focus your attention during class and create a listening purpose, provides a reference for later use and creates a valuable tool for test preparation. If your notes can help you anticipate test questions than your notes are indeed valuable.
