What Would You Do?

Now that you are an expert in note-taking, why don't you contribute your answer to the following problem?

You really dislike reading. You even pick specific classes based on the amount of reading assigned. You are enrolled in a certain history course that is required. The professor assigns the students a significant amount of reading each week. There are a number of books, including a textbook, that need to be read throughout the semester. The professor expects students to be able to compare and and contrast how a particular even or concept is described in the readings. You not only dislike reading but also have neglected the reading assignments for the last three weeks. The exam is not too far off and the reading task is becoming overwhelming. What would you do?
